Autism Wing Limited is a private limited company where you will get different types of latest information, articles and experiences on autism which may help in development of the special needs children. The articles of the blog page written by myself with the first hand experiences gathered through nurturing my autistic child.
Here you will also get different types of Baby Toys, Educational Toys, Sensory Toys, and modern Therapy products for development of the special children. These products are directly imported from abroad (USA, China) and delivered at your door.
Recently (from beginning of 2021) , we have started importing different types of Speech & Language Therapy products, Feeding Therapy Products and Sensory Products of ARK Therapeutic USA (like Z-Vibe, Chewy Tubes etc.) and TalkTools®, USA (like TalkTools Sensi®, Spinner & Toothies, Jaw Exerciser Kit, Bite Block, Horn Kit (Horn#1 to 12), Straw Kit etc.). Now Autism Wing is the authorized distributor of both ARK Therapeutic and TalkTools®, USA in Bangladesh.
I am Wing Commander (Retired) Md Mahtazul Haque, psc, a retired military officer, father of a 27 years old autistic child named MAE Ferdous Mahi and the Chairman of Autism Wing Limited. My wife Ferdous Ara Lucy, a housewife, is a full time guide to our autism angel (Mahi) to look after him.
The aim of writing the articles in this site (blog) is to share our long 27 years’ experiences of living with autism as Mahi’s parents. We will try to provide some guidelines (gathered from our experiences) to the parents of the autism identified children to uplift their morale and confidence.
I am not a doctor or specialist in autism or a technical expert in any field of mental health. As such it may not be possible on my part to advice any medicine or therapy but will be able to share our all the good and bad experiences and thoughts which can pave the way to handle the gifted babies. We will be able to provide many modern therapeutic tools through online and offline (showroom) for development of the special needs children.
Ferdous Mahi is a mild autistic baby having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) along with Attention Deficiency Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). His intelligence level is like a 6 years old boy. He does not understand good/bad, right/wrong, big/small. But our utmost effort of nurturing him has made a significant improvement in him. Now, he can perform all his personal job like personal hygiene, eating, dressing, shaving all by himself. He has acquired knowledge of operating computer and internet. He can do typing job (both in Bengali and English) and he has a very good hand of art. Sometimes he shows activities like a super intelligent boy, and that is why autistic children are sometimes called differently able children. We will discuss those in different articles.
Mahi is very good in Artwork. You will find many of his artworks in this site in the portfolio page. He has acquired many prizes by doing beautiful drawing. His artworks are depicted in the Honourable Prime Minister’s invitation card and Eid card. Mahi has been awarded TK. ONE LAC as prize money by the Honourable Prime Minister for his extra-ordinary artwork. His artwork was also placed in the renowned art magazine ‘SILPOPROVA’.
Ferdous Ara Lucy, my wife is full time housewife and looks after Mahi for 24 hours 7 days a week. Though she was University student she did not go for any job in her life rather dedicated herself for the development of our only son. Mahi does not understand the benefit of study yet he has passed Junior School Certificate (JSC) Examination by the wholehearted effort of his mother. Lucy’s contribution in this regard is beyond any explanation.
Autism has become an integral part of our life and we have taken it as passion. We are committed to help all the parents of the world like us in any way possible on our part and bring some improvement in the life of the disable or differently able children and their parents. If the people with autism can extract something out of our writings, it will be our achievement.
Autism Wing Shop is operated both online and offline. Beside different kinds of toys, it provides the best quality of therapy products, sensory integration tools, occupational therapy tools, physiotherapy tools, speech therapy tools, Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) tools and all other therapy supplies for the special needs individuals. The toys and tools of our shop plays a vital role for the development the special needs children and make them self-dependent.
Initially, I used to collect these toys and therapy products for my child from different traditional shops of the country. But it was very difficult for the parents to get these products in the city. So, I decided to establish a dedicated shop for the products needed by the special needs individuals. Now, you will get all types of latest therapy products and special toys in our shop for the development of your special child. Our online shop has been running since 2017.
The demand of the parents of the special needs children encouraged us to establish a showroom at Mirpur DOHS Shopping Complex, a prime location in Dhaka city in the year 2019. Besides, we are enriching our stocks with different kinds of products for the special needs children everyday. We are committed to do everything possible on our part for the development of the autistic children and all other special needs children.
We have established a group Autism Parents Wing exclusively for the parents of the special needs children to share their knowledge and experience which can be helpful for all other parents to nurture and develop their children. The parents are encouraged to post here their sufferings here to share their heart burn and mitigate their pains. The parents, therapists, caregivers, and doctors are ushered to post different kinds teaching worthy lessons related to the special needs children in our facebook group.
