Autism School and Therapy Centers in Bangladesh

Autism school and therapy centers with all facilities for the treatment and therapies are essential for the development of the autistic children. In the world, about 1% children suffer from autism. We assume the figure would be more than that in our country, Bangladesh. But the sufficient number of good quality autism school and therapy centers are not available in the country to accommodate the huge number of autistic children of the society. Most of the autism school in Bangladesh does not have enough facilities for effective treatment and therapies. Moreover, the existing autism schools of the country are very expensive compared to the regular schools. As such a major percentage of the children with autism are deprived of the treatment, therapies and special education. Bangladesh needs more autism school and therapy center with adequate treatment facilities for the development and rehabilitation of the children with autism.

Recently, only few autism schools and therapy centers are established in the urban area by the government, NGOs and some autism-affected families. Establishment of adequate autism school and therapy centers by the government is essential to accommodate a large number of autistic children of the country. The rich people of the society also can come forward for the noble job. The autism school should have enough facilities for the treatment and therapies of the children. The therapies are to be made free of cost or very cheap. Both the rural and the urban areas are to be taken into consideration while establishing the autism school and therapy centers to make the autistic children self-dependent.
